Yup, sounds like it either is an infection or is going to turn into one left the way it is. He should see a vet about this. One thing that can cause this is that their eyelid doesn't close all the way and drainage is seeping out and then crusting over. It can even look like it is closed and still have a tiny opening that can cause severe damage. This can be corrected with a surgical procedure. My shi-tzu had this happen and the vet said that was the best option to keep from batteling eye infections all the time.

My yorkie had the same problem at about that age. I took him to the vet and found out that he had scratched the eyeball and then it got infected. They gave us some drops to use for three days and also some antibiotic to add to his food for 4 days. You don't have to add it to the food if you can get the little guy to just take it. Mine wouldn't. He was back to normal by the end of the 7 days. So, my advice is to call your vet right away.

Good luck to you.

Your pet has some type of eye infection
Have him seen by the vet and they should be able to get you a drop or a antibiotic creme to put into theeye to clear up the infection.
Please get to the vet soon as some of these infection can cause permant damage if you let them go on to long.

It sounds like the tear duct isn't functioning. Try rubbing the corner of the eye, very gently. You might want to take the puppy to the vets and get some eye drops.

continue to clean with a warm soft baby washcloth... my little guy's eye does the same thing occasionally. It looks like he may have inadvertently scratched that area. Small dogs (puppies) still sleep with their feet close to their faces and if they have a dewclaw, it will scratch them. However, if it gets worse take him to the vet. it may turn into an infection.

Sounds like an infection to me. You may want to bring him to the vet. They'll give you a cream to put in his eye twice a day.

very likely an infection so have him checked by the vet. some dogs with tonsillitis get recurrent eye infections so he may even need an oral antibiotic instead of just an ointment.
