This guys wants you to change before you meet his parents. It meens that whatever happens in the future he will side with his parents against you (because you're the one to have an attitude according to him, but his parents not liking you to marry their son doesn't seem to him like an attitude). Get out of here ! He doesn't love you the way you are and is not ready to protect you against any animosity that will be coming from his family (urr, that is already coming I mean).

I dont quite understand the way you pharsed the question. Did you meet his family yet and know that you have an attitude? Or does he think you have an attitude and he told his family about it? As far as his family is concerned it shouldnt matter what his family thinks, if you guys love each other than you can work it out.

Maybe you can get a bit fired up (in the wrong way), and he doesn't want his parents to get offended by your behavior. He wants you to be nice so that his parents can approve of the relationship.

He probably means he'll try to subdue you or make you submissive. If you know he's a violent type, this probably means he'll beat you up and you should leave him. If not, he just means you're stubborn and his parents don't like that.
