Think about what you do together, and what makes you happy and comfortable. If you both have a hobby or love that you can incorporate into the day it will make it more personal. For example if you love art - inquire about using the area of a favorite sculpture or fountain. Don't put any limits on your vision - others will do that for you later - Rosie was right. Try now to find a wedding officiant that will do the ceremony how you want it.

I really wanna get married outside but it is impossible in england at the moment. However in Scotland you can simply climb up a random mountain and declare the situation as where you want your cereomny to be held I believe- it depends whether that is too much travelling for your friends and family. We;re getting married in a hotel, but I think had I had more time to think about it I would prefer a small wedding abroad and a big party back home. Good luck

There are plenty of unusual venues for weddings and receptions: museums, aquariums, beaches, historical venues, parks, and zoos. Some ideas that we considered: getting married in a tree (it had been struck by lightening and several adults are capable of standing in the tree) and then having our reception at a local nature sanctuary, having a beachfront ceremony and beach party for reception, and we also looked at local non-profit organizations because many rent out their facilities after hours.

Have the ceremony at a lake.

You will already be there. She will be brought in a nice motor boat while your favorite song about her is being played on the radio. She will continue to march over to you slowly. When she arrives the pastor does his thing, you two kiss then both get on the boat and ride away.

The reception could be held right there at the lake. You two could return later in more appropriate party-wear.

Motorboat: $35,000
Portable Stereo: $75
Food, drinks, party supplies: $350
Pastor $100

Seeing your new bride in a bikini . . . . priceless.

Dubai would be a lovely place as not many people get married there. You could probably have a beach wedding in front of the Burj Al Arab, (The most exclusive hotel in the world!)

Get married on a Ghost Hunting night in a haunted mansion or hotel as the clock strikes 12! Then look for the uninvited guests on the wedding pictures! spooky!

Not overly original but my brother in law and his fiance are getting married in Vegas next year, in the Chapel of Love. He's even getting Elvis to do the ceremony and his ring?... TCB (That's Elvis' Taking Care of Business ring). Good luck with your wedding

why not have it at a park or botanical gardens or the beach. Just be aware that the weather will more then likely not cooperate with your plans, keep this in mind when you choose the date and venue
