Are you on medication? If not, you might want to try it as it could help with your concentration.

Don't worry about not being able to remember what was said during therapy sessions. You don't need to remember for it to work.

Using a site like this might be good for you - answer some questions and see if it helps you focus your thoughts. At least it will keep you occupied.

Good luck. The one thing to remember about depression is that it does eventually lift, even if you don't do anything about it.

I wish you a happier and healthier year next year. xx

It sounds like a vicious circle. Your brain is not functioning well due to depression/anxiety, and the consequences of that alone are causing you more and more stress, which is like fanning the flames. If you can break the cycle, even for a little while, you will find that it is not hopeless. Your mental/emotional outlook affects everything about your life and how it is perceived. You need to remember that this is not your fault. The type of problems you are describing are serious, and may warrant medical treatment. Medication is not a lifetime commitment, so please don't worry about that. Just take it one step at a time. You may even be able to help others deal with similar problems in the future.

Well you certainly can't live a normal life like that... I'm definitely answering no you can't live a normal life while suffering depression. At least not how bad yours is; with some help you could live a normal life though. You've just hit a rough spot, just wait it out and everything will be easier. My mum went through depression, she took some medication for it, and then everything went back to being fine. She didn't have to stay on anything for that long, and now she's completely happy without anything prescribed.

I had the exact same problem when i was depressed. Why not take a freind or family member in the room with u while u are getting therapy? So that they can tell u a few times what had been said. That's what i done.Or i scribbled notes down, its always handy to keep some paper and a pen with u.That way u can read it over a few times.I used to hate it when freinds asked,"so what did u get up to yesterday?".The answer was always,"nothing much" because i could not remember. Its so frustrating. Why not keep a diary to remind yourself?good luck

First, there is no "normal" life. If you are looking for that, you are setting yourself up for failure. Instead try looking for a life you can enjoy, that Small change may make it better. If you are in talk therapy, that is good, as long as it is the correct therapy. Cognitive-Behavioral therapy is the kind that has been proven to be most effective for depression. If you are in another type of therapy, ask the therapist how effective that treatment is, and maybe think about switching. Also, medication can be helpful. Even if you don't want to be on it long term, it may help to start allow you to work on the symptoms in talk therapy.

there is not any beneficial hearth answer to the area. some human beings get depressed and speaking to others can cause them to greater depressed or lead them into thinking there is greater there than meant, possibly even tying them to you so which you grow to be their rationalization for happening. on the different hand, some anybody is as much as now long previous that they simply desire a sort word from somebody. every physique.
