'Qualitative and Quantitative composition' is general terminology used to describe a particular medicine.

Qualitative aspects (e.g. for a typical tablet):
active pharmaceutical ingredient (e.g. paracetamol)
soluble filler (e.g. lactose)
insoluble filler (e.g. microcrystalline cellulose)
disintegrant (e.g. croscarmellose sodium)
lubricant (e.g. magnesium stearate)

Quantitative aspects (e.g. for a hypothetical 500 mg paracetamol immediate release tablet):
active ingredient: 500 mg
soluble filler: 50 mg
insoluble filler: 50 mg
disintegrant: 50 mg
lubricant: 5 mg

Qualitative asks "what".
Quantitative asks "how much".

So, for the active in a Tylenol tablet, the qual is "acataminophen", and the quant is 325 mg.
