There is nothing wrong with being an Atheist-if you are comfortable here. But, since you ask the question----I would say you are not comfortable here.

Try Judaism or Islam------------. At least, learn about the concept of ''there is no G-d but G-d'' before you commit to one of the mentioned religions.

Pentecostal Churches believe that the Charismatic Gifts of the early Church are still active in The Church Today. Most Baptists disagree with us on that.

Baptists believe in Irresistible Grace, and Eternal Security. Pentecostals believe in Free Will, and Holiness living.

Which is better ? You are an atheist, do you want to convert ? Both Pentecostals, and Baptist's believe in being Borne Again, Saved by The Blood of Jesus Christ. Both are believers in the Authority of God's WORD, the Inerrorancy of The Bible.

I am a Church Of God Minister, I prefer Pentecostal Churches, but I call Baptists my Brothers, and Sisters. Make your choice.

The Pentecostals believe that we can still "speak in tongues". When the Apostles were given the ability to do so, it was for good reason. Peter was speaking to a large group at Pentecost in Acts 2. GOD made it possible for all to understand his words by giving him the ability to "speak in tongues". This was very helpful at the time as about 3,000 were baptized there. The Pentecostals believe that they still have this gift but we do not have that same need today. The Baptists believe that all is necessary for one to become a Christian is to "believe". I think that GOD wants us to read, study, and follow the entire New TEstament. This is not an easy task but I fell it is important enough to keep working on it. HE has done so much for each and every one of us!! Have a great week!!

Baptist believe in a false doctrine called "eternal security" or "once saved always saved" if this was true you could accept Christ then kill people including yourself while performing some Satanic ritual and still go to Heaven.
Pentecostals believe God will never leave you, but you can leave God and HE will never force you to spend eternity with him when you have rejected him.
Most Baptists believe the gifts of the spirit are not for today, many are waking up to the fact that this is false and receiving them with open hearts.
Pentecostals believe the gifts are for today and embrace them wholeheartedly.

We both believe you must accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior to enter Heaven, and in the end that is all that truly matters.

Where will you spend eternity?

I have been in Both, I was saved as a baptist, but became Pentecostal (Assembly of God)
There are two main Differences, one is the Issue concerning Spiritual Gifts most commonly referred to as the speaking of tongues, baptist will say that that happened once in the 1st century Church but only with the original disciples
and will quote a scripture to back that up.
1Cr 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.

also, Baptist will adhere to the Calvinistic teachings concerning Eternal Security meaning that when you are saved, you are always saved and that you can neither lose or forfiet your Salvation.

The Assemblies of God has something Different to say about these two positions.
On The Spiritual Gifts we cite this Scripture as proof that Tounges exists and the Spiritual Gifts still exist.

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

And as it concerns The matter of Eternal Security, It would take me a long time to type that out, so I will just put in the links to the Assembly of God Website on those issues and those issues concerning the Spiritual Gifts.
I should note that Both my Pastors were former baptist (Southern Baptist) and now Assembly Of God. One of the Pastors has a Doctoriate in Biblical Theology and the other has a Masters Degree in Biblical Theology received from Criswell College and was Dean of Students there, when he became (Spirit filled) when Criswell College found out about this they dismissed him, Christ for the nations learned of this and picked him up and hired Him as a teacher, He teaches, reads and writes New Testament Greek.

I am a southern Baptist and we believe in eternal salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. Most Pentecostals believe you can lose your salvation by sinning but why would Jesus have died for all sins if that were true.salvation is a free gift and it has nothing to do with us. Its all about faith by grace in Christ. Also the Pentecosts believe in speaking in tongues. They misinterpret that to. When speaking in tongues is mentioned in the bible they are talking about other languages, like German,Japanese,Chinese,English. Not a bunch of gibberish that no one can understand.

it doesn't matter about the denomination because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Charita is lord and believe it in your heart it doesn't matter where you go to church.pentecostal looks more at the outward appearance and baptist doesn't but if they are right in there heart then they are both Christians.as far as being atheist i do believe that you believe in Christ but you just don't want to admit it.

I am a Baptist and all I know about Pentecostal is they believe in speaking in tongues which they believe is not a language but some jibber jabber. Tongues is a language, like spanish, French and so forth. They believe in being slain in the spirit which they fall on the floor and go into convulsions. Which is not found in the bible either. Other than that not sure on anything else they believe.

Baptists are more doctrinal and take the Bible more literally. Pentacostals are more experiential and trust more in what they "feel" than what the Bible says. Personally I would trust the Bible, Pentacostals, because they have nothing to limit them except their own feelings have gone off into such extreme and wild things that it verges on the insane. I have seen them rolling around on the ground and barking like dogs, and claiming that was the Holy Spirit of God. If they read their Bibles they would know that the Holy Spirit is a spirit of "self-control" as taught in Galatians, and they would not do such things.
