Go into the bathroom and find some conditioner. Get into the shower and get your hair wet, then take a small amount (about half of what you usually use in the shower) and apply it throughout your entire hair. Then, use a blow dryer and a brush to dry your hair. Once dry, it should have quite a bit of bounce.

In the future, try putting your hair up in braids before bed, then sleep with it like that. In the morning, use a blowdryer and brush again. This should give it bounce and a nice wave.

It could be that you are either over-washing your hair or using the wrong shampoo. Look for shampoo that adds body. Try cutting your shampooing/conditioning in half (i.e. go to every other day rather than every day or every three days if you do it every other day now). This will help leave natural oils in your hair that give it body. Of course, you will still rinse your hair when you bathe.

Next, you need to learn a good blow-drying technique. You can do this by scheduling a little more time with your hair stylist next time you get your hair cut - tell her what you are trying to accomplish (i.e. more body) and ask her to help you learn to blow it that way. She will also recommend products such as gel or mousse that can help.

See the link I attached for comments on fine/limp hair. Good luck!

Try using a less alkaline shampoo/conditioner. Acidic shampoos will make hair drier and "poofier". Alkaline shampoos will slick hair down and make it more manageable but leave it rather...flat. I have very oily hair and it is always slick if I use any kind of conditioner so I don't use any of that. Also, when drying your hair, you might try bending your head over and drying it from the bottom up. Even for the flattest hair, it will add a little "oomph" to it. You could try volumizing shampoos and that could help some.

Buy the right shampoo and conditioner don't forget the conditioner. Also flip uside down...like lean over and then come up really fast. Sounds dumb but has good effects. Don' mistreat your hair..likes harmful bleaches or perms. Curl your hair using braides and ask for a hairstyle at you beauty shop that will promote fullness. Goodluck!

try blow drying it upside down with a round brush that is hollow on the inside. Then use a volume maximizing hairspray with your hair still flipped and when you flip your head upright, your hair should have more volume in it.

That's what I do when my hair falls flat.
