No, men and women have the same number of ribs.
(Twelve pair)

In biblical terms, a rib was removed from Adam to create Eve, so Adam had one less rib than Eve.

When a parent has "surgery" their children are still born complete. So the children of Adam and Eve, and all those to follow, would NOT be born missing a rib regardless of gender. If a man has an arm amputated his children would not be born missing an arm.

The only man to be missing a rib would be Adam and not all men to follow.

Thanks for asking a good question.

Even if God took a rib from Adam, men and women would still have the same number of ribs... Adam was fully formed when the rib was taken so his descendants would have the number of ribs Adam had at his "creation". If removing a bone after an organism was fully formed would mean that people who have had a leg amputated, for instance, would have children with only one leg. Doesn't happen!

No. they have the same number. But this past week, I heard on a medical program, that they had discovered that you can remove a rib from a person and if you leave the protective sheath from the rib intact, the person will regrow that rib. God could have removed a rib from Adam, and Adam regrew the missing rib. Isn't God great to have designed the human body so well.

Absolutely NOT. Both men & women have the same amount of ribs. It is an 'old wives tales' that they differ.

Simple 'proof' is that skeletal remains have to be 'sexed' - not just count the ribs...
