the us military is most powerful on earth.but while their air force and navy are overwhelming their army and marines are not.hypothetically could the us military fight and defeat a combination of china,russia and france and still win-without calling in help from britain and israel.

When we decide to get rude we can. Our Marines and Army are just using small amounts to police the world right now. Should it ever come down to kicking @ss look out.

The Army is stretched thin dealing with Iraq right now.
Taking on three countries,without help,at the same time might be asking a bit much of the military.

I am a former army infantryman and this is a tough question. I believe we could defeat them , however, we would need more manpower.A draft probably wouldn't be needed in this situation because many Americans would probably volunteer with our country facing those enemies. With our current military stretched so thin, we would be in bad shape.

we're really not doing too much actual FIGHTING in the middle east. just trying to restore order and help them build themselves up. problem is the people who bomb. if we were to fight other fronts, it would really strain our troops. think about it. we've already started to call up army/marine reserves. it's ridiculous how many troops we have other there. as for the navy and air force, yes they are superior, but all can bring is air power and missiles if it's not too far from water. it's not a question of whether our ground troops are good enough. it's a question of whether or not we can spread them out sufficiently.

Can one nuclear power defeat three other nuclear powers? That many nukes flying around and who wins the conflict is a moot point. Humanity loses. As in we cease to exist as a species.
