My daughter and son-in-law were friends for four years. This year they gave me my first grandchild. It's definitely possible.

I think it's best when you are friends first before starting a relationship. I was friends with my husband for a few months before actually getting involved with him romantically. We were friends for 4 months before we kissed. And it took another couple months after that for us to be "an item". I actually had another boyfriend (and he had another girlfriend) when we met! The relationship is more likely to last because you know each other better and realize the things you have in common. Rushing into a relationship can result in awkwardness and it may not last. Take your time. Enjoy your feelings of new found love!

I have found that the most intense, long-lasting, and love filled relationships are those that begin as long time friends, their was always that fear of "killing" a friendship by moving into a romantic one, but if both hearts are in the right place with it, I would say go with it, as friends you have learned about your true selves, no putting on aires, just the truth, thats why I think these relationships last, and you are right about one thing, if you wait too long, it could be too late, you only go around once, make the best of it!! GOOD LUCK!!

Some of my best relationships are those that have started as "just friends". There are no "rules" about the way guys engage in a relationship, however, guys do tend to want to become physical right away. I have found that the more you get to know someone, the more special the relationship is.

It's SO possible. Sometimes it's better to be friends first. It kind of gives you an idea of who they really are. My guy and I have known each other 11 years and 4 of those we have been together. We get along great! Don't give up but also know when to take a hint. You don't want to ruin a good friendship.

ok, I'm gonna straight up tell you YES!
I know this from personal experience, ok? I've known my girlfriend for 3 years and we're getting ready to celebrate our first month together. I promise you, the longer you wait to realize that you wanna spend more time with someone, is better. She and I are madly in love and in fact the only thing stopping us from getting married right now is our age.
So, don't worry about it, it's not too late, but you do need to let him know how you feel, ok?

Yes its completely possible. How do I know? Because my girlfriend (Finally) is my best friend of 3 years. Yes, it took me three years to get her to say yes but 7 months ago she finally said yes. So it is completely possible for you two to get together. Just keep hoping and doing what you are doing. Don't rush into it let it naturally happen. I hope this helped Good Luck.

It is possible to still become an item. Some times people are friends for years, and then one day they just realize that they should be together. Anything is possible girl, don't lose faith yet. Good luck.

Of course it is possible. You need to ask yourself though if you would prefer to be friends or an item as it can sometimes be hard to become just friends again after a relationship

definitely. the more time spent with one another, the more you get to know the real person in the shape of your friend. you have to at least know him for a year you know...to truly see whether he is a real friend that you can depend on. The only drawback is that if you two start dating and do get together, the aftermath of a break-up (if it happens) won't be as easy as "can we still be friends???" But IF you really got to know him well, he'd understand.

Ya one of my best guy friends and me are together. You should try it. You never know it may work out so I'd go for it, but you should find out if he feels the same. I think you should always get to know them first and the best way is to become friends.
