Occidental http://www.occidentaldc.com/about.php You can have a private dining room just for two...

Equinox http://www.equinoxrestaurant.com/ This is run by Todd and Ellen Gray and I'll bet if you explain your event, Ellen would set up a private dining area for you in The Wine Room... totally romantic :)

The Capital Grille http://www.thecapitalgrille.com/about/main.asp Don't let the name fool you. There's nothing overly casual about this place! It's wonderful for special occasion dining.

Hay-Adams Hotel http://www.hayadams.com/index2.htm Private dining available in the Lafayette Room... and luxurious accommodations for an overnight stay as well :)

Galileo http://www.galileodc.com/restaurants/galileo/ This is Roberto Donna's masterpiece and there are several private dining options available, including a wine cellar dinner or rear dining room or the Galileo Kitchen Table!

Sequoia http://www.arkrestaurants.com/section_home.cfm?section_id=1&location_id=2&restaurant_id=15 Ask for a private table by the window like in this photo http://www.arkrestaurants.com/section_home.cfm?section_id=1&location_id=2&restaurant_id=15&sub_section_id=1&menu_type_id=3 and you'll see that this incredible restaurant has the potential for being very intimate indeed :)

Please make sure you explain your event to anyone you call and I'm sure, in our nation's capital especially, your requests will be warmly rewarded with spectacular service and a very special night indeed...

Salut!

Coppi's is one of my favorites. It is an organic Italian restaurant on U St NW, has some of the best salads, pastas, and pizza. It is small and intimate. It is decorated with pictures of Coppi, the famous Italian bicycle rider. After dinner, the U st area is a nice place to walk, and is within walking distance of the 900 club, where if you pick the right night, you could take in a good concert.

forget approximately Chinatown. The chinese language eating places there are detrimental. there's a effective pizza place on 9th street spoke of as Ella's wood-Fired Pizza, however the parts are tiny; you don't get an excellent form of bang to your dollar. In Adams Morgan, I oftentimes consume at Meskerem, an Ethiopian place. on occasion i'm going to get takeout from Amsterdam Falafelshop; it would not have an excellent form of seating. however, the falafel and fries are in basic terms spectacular! And in case you go with for an particularly good brunch, inspect Asylum on the weekend, that's between the few places to furnish a vegan brunch. Asylum has a grungy biker bar sense, however the foodstuff is enormously good.

A very nice restaurant where you will have plenty of time together and closeness to chat privately is The Melting Pot. The serve great food and definitely provides a great night on the town if you top it with a walk around D.C.
