I get the ring in but the ball is the problem. Taping my eyebrow piercing works but even though I wear a mouth guard and helmet I need to take the lip piercing out. Thought someone out there has a similar problem in sports and could give me a good idea, thanks for the answers sofar really appriciate it.

I think you should leave it out. Totally unattractive and it is obvious it is infected. Get treatment !

Try keeping a retainer in while you're kickboxing. They're small and plastic, and won't get in the way. Also, they'll keep the hole open so it may be easier to work with. I hope this helps! I have my lip pierced for a while and I completely understand how hard it is to work with.

Sorry to say, this piercing does not go well with your choice in sports. Lip piercings are not meant to be taken out and put back in on a regular basis.

Maybe another type of piercing would work better for your sport, you may need to be creative with this, because you will want to avoid most facial and ear piercings due to the possibility of getting hit.

Have you tried a retainer? I had to take out my eye brow ring for weight training (im a female too), so instead I got a retainer. They are just clear plastic-like rings you can put in instead. I also use them for my dance recitals and competitions, almost completely invisible! I hope this helps! As far as having a hard time getting the ball back on, I'd say practice! I know screwing the ball back on is the biggest Pain in the @$$ of it all. Took me forever to be able to screw on my own eye brow ring ball.

Its not infected as the other person said, Your lips are prolly a little swollen after kickboxing, I say put a little ice or cold water on your lips before you put the piercing back in. Or get a longer 'ring' for after kick boxing then once everything goes back to normal but your other one in.

"i'm in simple terms desirous to have one in the favored spot, no longer one that is going via 2 areas of the lip." smartasssss all of them pass during the lip, it in simple terms relies upon on the fashion of piercing you get. as an occasion to hoop looks like its going over the two areas.

there are clear rubber studs that u can put in place but then again if someone makes contact with your face it mgiht be just as bad as having a stud in there!! OH i just thort of something try fishing wire! you can maybe fiddle around and try diferent ways of using the wire. i use to put fishing wire thru my nose ring when i had to take it out.

I'm sorry i know i'm not giving you a real answer-but leave it out! I think it's very unattractive. but if you really really want to know a way just keep it in, and if you already don't, wear a mouth guard/helment with mouthpiece/"football" helmet.

Why don't you put a clear plug in while you are in kickboxing? Then just switch it quickly after class.

try waiting several hours after kickboxing. Dont rush to put it back in.

Leave it in while you are kick boxing, that way you will get the most damage from the self abuse.
