Depends on what effect you want - for smaller tighter curls do small sections - may 1 inch sized bits. For bigger curls/waves then twist larger sections.

For a nice bouncy wave I used only three. If you want the tight really curly curls then do like ten. Good luck..

well take small sections but depends on ur type of hair if u want like bigger curls larger sections
