If you are living in the United States....there is a program called Medicaid Spenddown. It is based on your illness and how much your bills will be and how much you make.

It is not the welfare medicaid program. This will allow you to have private insurance and it will pay what your insurance doesn't. It was originally designed for people so they wouldn't go broke because they got sick. Go to the Department of Human Services and ask them about it. It is a FEDERAL program. Not a state program.

A company named Novartis (not sure of the spelling) has a program where they help patients pay for their cancer prescriptions. Sending email to the pharmaceutical companies, asking if they have programs may help. Does your doctor have any suggestions for ways to afford your medications? Medicade may be another way to go, but that takes a lot of red tape & paperwork. You may not have the strength to go through that, but it might be your only alternative.
