can people have regular white poodles but then die thier fur so it looks real? i need to know so i can win the bet with my friend, pink poodles are real!!!!!

Poodles are not born with pink hair. Pink, purple, blue, green poodles are the result of the owners having the poodles hair dyed. I actually saw someone do this on a TV show this last week. They had two white poodles and took them to the groomers who used a vegetable dye and turned them into pink poodles. Yes they were real live poodles but their hair color was fake.

Yes, there are some pink poodles in the world but they are very rare. You'll be hard-pressed to find one. And yes, a lot of people dye the poodles fur pink to make it look real, but it'll only wash out in a week or so.

Pink Poodles are just normal white poodles but treated with a pink dye so they pretend to be pink!

No this is not a natural color for dogs
You can dye your poodle over and over wich you've been doing
but I have never heard of a poodle that was born with natural pink hair.

Pink poodles are just dyed with pink color. Poodles are not born pink, but later in thier life when they have a crazy owner that wants to make them pink for their own enjoyment.

Pink poodles are indeed real, but are dyed, here's a picture:

But you see, the nose is white, and it'd hurt the dog a lot if you got dye in their noses, so they just leave that alone sometimes, but sometimes groomers are very careful and dye the hair around there noses. Conclusion, if you bet that they are born pink, sorry hon, you lost the bet. Hope this helps though!

Poodles like everyone else says are not born naturally pink. You have to purcahse a special dog dye to dye them a pink color or you can take them to the groomers and request it. I know I always thought about dying my poodle mix, but I know that going to be a thought because I prefer natural colored dogs, but their toe nails are a different story.

Poodles can be dyed pink. But because it's dye, it isn't "real."
I can dye my hair any color I want. But anything other than brunette isn't "real", because that's not my "real" hair color. So while you can make a poodle pink, it will never be "real."

People dye their poodles' hair pink, blue and purple. It should only be done by a proffesional groomer and you need a light color (white) poodle. I think it's very cute.
