try a small crate or recue remedy might help...good luck...they also make seat belts that are all sorts of sizes, you could use the seat belt with the desensitizing and the rescue remedy...ar any combination.. whatever works for ya.. it will take some time and patience...you could also start desensitizing her by starting with just sitting in the car.. then going one block and coming home ... then a little bit farther... do that every day and reward her by being calm... especially in the beginning.. take several days just sitting in the car just petting her and calming her and re-assuring her that its nothing to get so excited about... just some suggestions... good luck...smile

You can stop it by not allowing the dog free run of the car. The dog should be crated while in transport for it's own safety. You can also belt a dog. My Saints are too big for crates in the vehicle but they are all belted. My Pekes are crated.

there is a special dog seat that staps to your regular car seat and that you can secure her in to keep her from doing this. Look at your local PetSmart or Petco.

Put her on a leash and teach her to be calm in the car.
