I have seen this term mentioned several times. Could I get a definition of the "real Christians" and how would one differentiate from the fake Christians or just a plain ol Christian

I have reason to believe GW Bush is not a real Christian, is this correct?

Conservative Christians often think of and refer to themselves as "Real Christians."

But it's a silly thing to do, and a bad habit to try to evaluate other people's Christianity.

First, it is far too easy to misunderstand why someone does something or what they believe.

Second, Christianity is a pretty diverse religion which includes Quakers, Eastern Orthodox, Evangelicals, Roman Catholics, Christian Identity movements, and Southern Baptists. Judgments aside, they all base their beliefs on the Bible and identify with Jesus, so technically, they are Christian.

There is no such things as real or fake Christians. People use the term to put down one person or group to say that they are not real or hypocrites. It is simply not right. A Christian is a person that has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Everyone sins and falls short of the Glory of God. That what it says in the bible. EVERYONE is a sinner. Just because you accept Christ and are a Christian does not mean you will stop sinning. Also different groups of Christians disagree on minor points of the bible. Also some Christians agree with homosexuality and abortion and other things, and some do not. That is where the real and not real come in. There is simply no such thing and it is not right for a Christian to say that another Christian is not 'real'

I tend to agree with you about Bush. Being a Christian is kind of hard to explain because people have twisted it to suit themselves. The term Christian originally meant , a believer in Jesus Christ and emulates the personality of Christ. A Christian should cultivate the Fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. A lot of folks claim to be Christians but really they don't have a clue and it's very sad. I hope this answered your question.

There are no real christians. People make up as they go what a real christian is. You can be whatever you like and you are a christian. No real substantial value there. christians believe they are christians based on a proximation with others who claim to be such. The history of the bible shows how scattered and hodge podge the christian belief system is. christians picked and chose what they wanted to believe. They left out many scriptures and altered all that they chose to keep. Religion is all made up to serve men not any god. If there is a god he doesn't need people to speak for him. That is proof there is not a god and therefore no real christians.

Real Christians believe that Salvation is not by our own works. We believe that we can not earn our way into heaven or buy our way into heaven. We don't get there by being good people. Real Christians know that we get to heaven by believing in Jesus Christ accepting that he shed his blood and died for our sins and having a personal relationship with him. Fake Christians believe in things that are not supported by the Bible such as praying to saints and the virgin Mary.

Catholics are fake Christians because they believe that salvation is by works. That if they are really good and go to communion and church every week and confess their sins to a priest every so often, that they will go to heaven. This is a tragic false teaching. They also believe in praying to the virgin Mary and to Saints when the Bible say that Jesus is the ONLY mediator between us and God.

Other fake Christians believe that you can buy your way into heaven if you give the church enough money.

JW's are fake Christians because they don't believe that Jesus was the Savior.

People who believe that if they are baptised they are saved. This too is false. First you have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The baptism is only an outward picture of an inward change.

GOD will judge. We can not tell the difference at times but HE will know. HE can read a man/woman's heart. A real Christian has conviction and follows the New Testament as it is written not wanting to change GOD's LAWs to fit their own wants and needs. I am glad to say that I read, study, and teach the plan of Salvation to others. I hope that every other True Christian will do the same. Have a Great Day!!

Simply put, a Christian is someone who believes in the holy trinity... God, the Father / God, the Son / God, the Holy Spirit, and he/she believes that God, the Son, is Jesus who was born in the flesh of the virgin Mary and died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice to save all of humanity from their sins.
It doesn't matter what people say their beliefs are... what specific denominations believe, etc... The above is the only criteria for being Christian.

As sala'amu alei'kum.

Sadly, that's a question all people of every Faith need to ask themselves!

How could God, who is indisputably the Father of us all; be it whatever Name we call Him by, want us to Hate each other?

Is it not even more blasphemous when we do that in His Name?

Would that we could all be just good Children of our Father and love one another as our true brothers and sisters!

Ma sala'amah, ya azizi.
