to get sick or be in disease state after being infected by a bacteria or virus it depends on teh incubation period of the microorganism... different microorganisms have different incubation period... for example the Flue virus have an incubation period of 3-5 days ... others have incubation periods that might extand up to 4weeks... HIV for example stay in a latent stage for 10years!

Depends upon the virus.

For example: the incubation period for

Influenza = 1-5 days incubation
Smallpox = typically about 12 days.
The common cold = 2-5 days.
Chicken pox = 12-14 days.
Rubella = 14-21 days.

Usually I usually get sick 2-3 days later.

I would say the second morning after I was exposed I maybe feel sick.

The third day I would be sick- if I caught it.
