Honestly speaking, this is a special case. The best doctor
for treatment will be Neurologist. As far as alternative
therapies, e.g. Baba Ram Dev, Yoga, accupuncture or accupressure, etc., it is not easy to show any proven results out of these alternative therapies especially bcz, this is a very special & delicate case. Even if it is an old case, one should still try as your dear father is still quite young bcz at 50+, people still have enough energy. In India, still rehablitation is not available with latest facilities. In such a special case, one has two options, firstly, to go overseas under guidance of a
highly experienced & wellknown neurologist, preferably
in combination with highly experienced and known orthpadic (bone doctor); secondly, local intensive rehablitation under close guidance of the two mentioned doctors, i.e. Neurologist & Orthopadic . In this case, rehabilitation combined with will power of your dear dad
are utmost important. May Almight God bestow upon your dear dad with early recovery with long & healthy life for ever & ever. Good Luck. Take care. Yong Kang.

You should not lose hope first of all, regular physiotherapy and speech therapy really help though they take time but a person can become self dependant, also try making your dad use the paralysed on his own,he might not be able to the work initially but just the effert will be a step towards making the muscle and nerves normal, while doing the above he will need a lot of mental support, continue medical treatment under a Dr's supervision.

It sounds like your father is experiencing seisure like activity that is causing the unconscious bouts. His stroke has affected his brain activity, coordination, and speech. There might be a cranial artery blockage causing all of this. Or it could be perminant damage from the stroke This would be a longshot, but if its caused by blockage angioplasty is the expensive solution. Its too late for clotbusters the damage is most likely perminant.
There are a few vitamins and foods that can help they
are: vitamin B6, niacin, policosanol, gugulipid, plant sterol complex, cayenne herb powder, and garlic herb powder. Also a pill that can be purchased over the counter called Lipistat.

It's been a long time since the accident.
I am glad that he is seeing a specialist.
I don't know if anything can be done given the amount of time that has passed, the extent of his injuries, and current illness symptoms.
Extensive rehab should have been started after the accident.

Just don't give up.
Keep on helping him and listen to what the doctors tell you- as well as trying to keep him as active as possible.
