ok the toilet backs up on a code 1 with no paper and the procedure to fix the plumbing $1000 and the plunger acctually has wear marks becasue we have to use to so much :( what can i do to convince my parents to call the plumber this week. i ask them occasonally ever 4th back up

because the plumber said that the pipes were leaking under the house and that was the main price tag and that explanes the bad smell but 2 fix the orignal problem is 300 but they have to fix the leaking sewer line so weird law

Find out the procedure and see if you and your father can do it together. The additional money required for fixing the line would be that the laws for sewage and septic tanks have changes and when work is done by a professional it has to (by law) be brought up to the current code. If however the two of you can do it nothing else has to be done.

You can buy a brand new toilet and install it for way less than half of that money, I'd get a second opinion on that plumbing job.
Buy a snake, it's worth the money, and do it yourself, why do your parents have to do it?

It sounds like the bill is a little pricey, they may not have tht kind of money. Maybe on your own do some research and see if you can find someone tht can do it cheaper then present this to your parents.
