i have a room that i used those stick on tiles...i used 35 tiles...is that considered 35 square feet??...have an offer on laminate at .74 a square foot and was trying to figure how much that will cost

35*.74= 25.90

But the most accurate way to determine sq footage is to measure the length and width of the room and multiply them.

5 ft by 7 ft would be 35 sq ft.

If you're tiles are 1'x1' wide, then yes. To figure out the square foot of a room, you need to take the length of the room by the width. If your floor is 7'x5' then that is 35 sq.ft. (7 multiplied by 5). If your room is not a complete rectangle, for example, the main part is a 6'x6' rectangle but then there's a little alcove that's 2'x4', that would be: (6x6)+(2x4) which equals 44 sq.ft. And then you multiply your cost by the total sq.ft.
