Mel Tillis used singing.....it makes you slow down and gives the brain a chance to catch up with the mouth.
Maybe practising with a close trusted friend and when you are comfortable enough with that one that you are stammering less try adding another friend.....baby steps.

My cousin went through years of speech therapy to no avail. He finally found a doc who told him to start carrying a mirror with him. When he was talking with family, he would watch himself in the mirror. He no longer stammers. When he gets really excited about something, he'll start to, he stops and takes a deep breath and no stammering. If there was a trauma in the persons life, that could be the cause. My cousin stammered his whole life until this worked for him. Hope this is helpful.

If it is due to hereditary one can not help it.

But, generally the anxiety to speak without stammering worsens the situation. So, be what u r! Make up ur mind that it was natural for u to stammer. Probably, it would improve the situation.

Wish u all the best!

Stammering for those who dont know it is studdering. Speach therapy is said to help some who suffer from studdering.

Also some types of medicine can help. I have heard of people taking some antianxiety meds that help studdering. Studdering can be linked to ADD and ADHD they can be treated with Concerta, adderall, and others.
