needs a professional cleaning first then need to maintain. best to train them to allow you to brush teeth. start with something tasty like peanut butter on a washcloth and get them used to you massaging teeth. then switch to special flavored dog tooth paste and a brush. also there is a special liquid you can put in their water to keep teeth clean. finally try Booda Velvet Fresh N' Brite bones. They are flavored with spearmint, peppermint, cinnamon, etc and help breath.

Most dogs have bad breath (dog breath) and if you think he/she has dirty teeth you can buy a bone a petsmart or a local petstore and and look for a bone the releves bad breath,The bone will stratch of the food or decay on your dogs teeth.or you can just take him 2 the vet and see if anything is wrong with his gums or teeth and if not go to a groomer and get his teeth cleaned.

We have a Yorkie named Gordan. He has had bad breath for a while. I have tried all the breath bones. So, I made him an appointment and had his teeth cleaned. Oh my goodness, he does not have the breath problem any more. The vet said he had gingivitis in his gums. So, if you try everything and it don't work. I would get his teeth cleaned.

Get your dog a chew that cleans his teeth, or take him to the vet for a cleaning. There are items that you can buy to freshen their breath....I was told that dry dog food helps their teeth stay healthy..?

Bad breath is usually a gum or tooth problem. You should take him to the vet or groomer for professional teeth cleaning and a gum checkout.

You can give him bones by Pedigree, found near the dog food in stores. They come in packs of 2-3, depending on the size, and they clean the tartar off of the dogs teeth.

Sounds like he needs to get his teeth professionally cleaned and for that the vet will have to do it by putting him under and cleaning them.
