Depends what you mean by daily. It also depends on the dog breed. I have a short haird miniature pinscher. I use Puppy Wipes since you do not want to bath puppies a lot. My trainer stated that 2 week minimum for when you have to bath her; however, 4-8 weeks tops. In between these periods I use puppy wipes on her skin to clear out the dandruff. Short hair dogs like min pin should not be bath too daily because it can dry out their skin and deprive them of the natural oils that dogs have on their skins.

I also have a poodle mix who I groom every 2-3 months and bath her when she gets her fur dirty or starts looking a dirty grayish color. Usually that's every 3 weeks I bath her.

Otherwise it's unecessary because I catch my poodle mix often cleaning herself/licking herself clean as to my min pin (not as often but she's a puppy so I'm sure she'll catch on to it). I feel that a tongue cleaning is a a lot healthier than a normal weekly bath.

For long haired dogs I don't know how often people bath them or anything about grooming for them. GOod Luck.

It isn't recommended that you bathe a dog on a regular daily basis because it can cause extreme skin dryness and irritation. If you are trying to control odor you can buy cleaning cloths that are kind of like baby wipes you can use on the dogs fur to freshen it up, without the irritation that shampoo can cause. I found mine at walmart, but I'm sure any pet store would also have them as well.

In either case it's always best to consult your veterinarian as a professional resource to answer these types of questions.

A dog must be bathed every 12 to 15 days.Bathing a dog every day is not good for its skin and hair, not to mention the waste of time.

i dont think so, it would dry their skin/hair and they'd probably catch a cold. Bathing puppies daily is especially a no-no!

i bathe my dog only once a wk. for the long-haired dog types, there may be a problem of grass bits etc stuck in their hair but proper grooming for them should do, instead of bathing daily to keep them clean

There are alternative products out there if you are just attempting to solve an odor issue. Bath wipes and spray deodorants work well, and do not deplete the dog's natural oil in their coat like frequent bathing does. Try Petsmart or Wal-mart, as they should have both products.

Best Wishes!

bathing a dog too much can cause dry skin, brushing everyday will help. I would not recommend give a dog a bath everyday, maybe every 2-3 months.

Dogs don't need to be bathed that often, and it is not good for them. It will dry their skin and remove the natural oils. Your dog needs a bath only if he gets into something really smelly. You can even let mud dry on his fur and it will brush off easily.

I do puppies when they are crated and poo all over themselves daily.

Use a mild soap and watch for skin drying out. A lot of people want to bathe a pooch daily because of allergies but in fact the daily bath is worse.

I would say no just because they produce certain oils in their bodies to help them with there coats (the shiny/ healthy looking coat, the shedding part). An animals only protection from the world elements is there coat and you have to remember that animals coats change with every season to also help out with the weather conditions. If you bath them every day you are going to really mess around with their pH level. Most animals do know how to clean themselves by licking.

Bathing your dog too often will dry its skin and cause itching. I bathe my Pom once a month because she's an indoor pet and doesn't usually get into things.
