A lost bolt is as good as a lost gun, the bolt is what makes the gun the gun. For example, if you own a machine gun, many people put the bolt in a safety deposit box, the bolt is essentially all that is counted as being the gun its self, everything else is an accessory. You, may have to undergo another background check to buy the bolt from a dealer.

Bound's hubby here:

How do you "LOSE" the bolt in a bolt action rifle?

You must send your rifle back to Remington to have the bolt replaced. When they replace the bolt, they also need to check and correct any unsafe variation in your rifle's "headspace". Bolts are not just something you can interchange, they must be properly fitted. Be advised, Remington (or any other manufacturer for that matter) will not replace lost parts under warranty, only defective parts!

Expect a number of raised eyebrows and a few questions about the ownership of your rifle. Also, be prepared to prove you are the rightful owner of this rifle when you send it back to the manufacturer for this type of repair!

Good luck!

BOLTS ARE FITTED TO THE RECEIVER AND AND ADJUSTED FOR PROPER HEADSPACE
IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO HAVE THIS CHECKED
SOME MANUFACTURERS WILL NOT SHIP A BOLT TO AN INDIVIDUAL BUT ONLY TO A GUNSHOP THAT IS CERTIFIED TO DO WARRANTY REPAIRS FOR THAT BRAND OF FIREARM
BEST TO KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL I WOULD SAY
THE OTHER OPTION IS TO SHIP THE GUN BACK TO REMINGTON

Check the link below. It's to E-Gunparts, they have everything you need. It appears that you have to purchase the bolt parts separately and assemble it yourself.
