LCD screens are crystal clear to start with, that's why you see a clear picture even when not using HD cable. If your content with the picture as is then save your money. You can still use your screen's HD capabilities by purchasing a gaming console like Xbox 360 or a PS3.

If you put a Playstation 1 game in a Playstation 3 is that going to make the GAME LOOK BETTER? (Answer....HELL NO)

HD TV's were built on the premise that ANALOG TELEVISION IS DEAD. 2008 The whole cable network will be switched to Digital. HD TV's can't turn a crap signal (analog) into the pretty picture you saw in the store. If you get the digital HD signal....That's where you're going to see the difference.

Well if you have cable and your getting a clear image consider yourself lucky. I have COMCAST and even the HD channels are crap. My DVD's look great.
