"Global warming" is a generic phrase conveniently used to show the long-term trend of weather across the world. Local events will follow a more "global catastrophic climactic change" format, rather than simply warming. This will include record highs, lows, dryness, precipitation, winds, etc. We here in Delaware are experiencing the record highs and warm spells this winter. Other areas are receiving the record colds & snows. Overall, however, it will mean a long-term warming with all kinds of extremes happening as the world adjust to new weather patterns.

You have every right to question it, but the vast majority of scientists now believe it to be quite real and there has definitely been a disinformation campaign by the coal and oil industry - this is now a known fact. Right now they are about as reputable as the tobacco companies.

And "huggers" is spelled with TWO g's.

it depends on whether you like what you see when you look outside. colorado is beautiful. would you like it to look barren of trees due to logging, whole mountains blasted through to mine, and road sides and waterways polluted and littered? we need to take care of and respect our planet. global warming, i think, is very real and may even lead to a complete redefinition of the countryside, in terms that it wouldn't look anything like what it does from your window right now. "tree huggers" merely want to see it stay as it is, and respect it as having value in itself. they're against the anthropocentric view that only what man wants matters even if he kills himself and everything else to get it.

hey. its questionable, but i believe it. do some research. very convincing. besides why support those money hungry tycoons that run the oil industry, they only care about money, greed and power. not about us and the environment later down the track.

Guys we need to start thinking long term not short term!
