As long as you don't leave the airport premises, you won't need a transit visa

Unfortunately, if a country requires you to have a transit visa, you must get it no matter how short your stay is. Way back when we Romanians used to need a visa for Germany, we had to get a transit visa for a stay in Frankfurt Airport (on the way to Brazil) of a matter of hours.
Look at the full half of the glass:getting such a transit visa is usually no problem.
