them? I decided against losing weight and went with eating healthier. I have already quit smoking and I drink only occasionally. I have also resolved to exercise more and need some ways to start a good program without a gym ( way to expensive) Any help would be appreciated. I hope everyone has a safe and sane New Years Eve and a happy and prosperous New Year!

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

G'day :) It's great that you've quit smoking, and want to get yourself healthier. And in reality, it's very easy to stick to any resolution you make, my friend.
Like it or not, it's choice. You either choose to do what you know you should do, or you choose not to. Choosing the right thing may not be easy - for a lot of people it's disgustingly difficult - but it's still a choice.
I wish you every success. Stay safe and be happy :)

I've found the best exercise plan is to get a dog and walk it everyday. Walking is one of the best exercises you can do for the whole body and the dog will make you feel guilty if you don't get out and walk the dog everyday.

Buy your groceries online, that way you don't get tempted with the naughty things when you're in the supermarket!
