respect yourself first. don't let him treat you badly. when he does, tell him that you don't like it and if he's going to do that, then you don't want anything to do with him. and tell him "I may have a crush on you, but that doesn't mean I'll put up with this kind of trash from you. I'm not going to waste my time with you if you're going to treat me badly. When you think you can respect me, give me a call".

I don't think you can force a man to be respectful.
This sounds like the type of guy that is not a nice person but is only looking out for himself.
I can tell you as a person who has survived two abusive relationships that you want to express what your needs are and if after that, he does not seem to care about that, then you will need to remove yourself from the disrespect and the relationship.
I know from personal experience that it only gets worse if you do not do that.

Set clear boundaries from the get-go of any relationship. If someone disrespects you, let that person know how that makes you feel and also let them know that you won't tolerate this behavior in the future. If it persists, it's time to move on. People will treat you how you let them treat you. Respect yourself enough to not let yourself be treated that way.

Act like you don't need him. Strut around like you own the place and didn't need a man's help to get it. Knock him over with how much more knowledgeable you are than him. Be a little aloof around him and make yourself as unavailable as possible. He'll try much harder that way.

That is a hard thing for alota guys to grasp. You need to think of you. are you willing to leave him for not respecting you? If you are. then be blunt and just tell him you need to treat me like you love me,not like im your *****. and if stuff dosent change then find someone who will. i understand that you like him. but dont let someone take advantage

I don't think you can make him do anything. If he doesn't respect you and treats like trash then its time to find some one who will treat you nice.

"to have respect of person is no good, for a piece of bread they will transgress." proverbs translate=why respect man when we're all a bunch of dirty dog sinners?
respect is such a BS man made concept, you first need to have dignity, that means morals and beliefs, then it doe'snt hurt to have a brain, that means read more and think more. then you won't have to be such a girly girl
