Gel will definately not do that. That's a toughy. Maybe try leave in conditioner, Infuseum (Or however it';s spelled). It's less damaging and I have replaced things like mouse and gel with it. SOunds wrong I know it's a conditioner, but I NEVER use hair spray. Hope this helps.

The best way of having beautiful hair is always make sure it's clean and it looks like being clean. So stop using styling gel or get a very good one.Make sure you use it in a very small quantity.Just put a few drops in the palm of your hand, rub your hands against each other making sure you got it on your fingers too. Them, just pass your fingers through your hair.
Always use a good conditioner. If you have to use the hair dryer (it would be better not to, but who has the time for that?) use it at the lowest temperature. If you have damaged ends always apply a non rinsing protective treatment emulsion.
I don't know what type of hair you have, but if you don't have particular problems, this will do.

Gel is for styling your hair and it will definitely not give you the result you are looking for. What you need is a good Shampoo and a conditioner.

using gel definitely roughns hair due to alchohol and other chemicals present in them. Use coconut oil. maintain good eating habits and eat regularly.
medicinal method: use coverit(consult a dermetologist first)

Apply oil(olive oil) to your hair before you go to sleep. Wash it off gently, the next morning.

Try using Paul Mitchell's "Super Skinny Serum." I use it and my hair feels like silk and is not weighed down.
