i really like this guy and i kind of gave him the clue that i like him but how will i be able to find out wether he likes me and moreover we dont belong to the same social group but we are friends

You say that you are friends, so I guess you answered your own question. It shouldn't matter what social group you're in. If you like each things like that shouldn't matter.

Ask him out on a date? What do you have to lose. The worse thing that can happen is that he says no. Oh well, then you'll know where you stand and you won't have to worry about it anymore and you can move on. Or he'll say yes, and you'll have a wonderful time.

It's the 21st century, what are you waiting for? Ask him today. And who cares what "social group" you belong to. You're from the same planet right.

opposites attract!!! so what if you guys are not in the same social group that should not stop you guys i mean who really caresif you guys like each other great and he will show you a sign maybe not today but soon he will

If he likes you, he will let you know one way or another. Social groups do not mean anything at all. Opposites attract!!

Try asking him to help you. If he is anxious to help then you may get a chance. However, if he hestitate, then I would advise you not to make any move until he date you out.
