It is very similar to the South Beach diet now.
The first couple of weeks, they want you eating meats - chicken, pork, fish.... cheeses. supposed to stay away from any kind of sugar (natural or processed) including fruits.
The next phase they want you to incorporate whole grains in to your diet. You can also add fruit back in too.
Eat something every couple of hours.
It works, but as soon as you stop using this diet you will gain that weight back (doesn't happen right away, but it will come back quickly when it starts).

Low carbohydrate diets such as the Atkins diet typically exceed the safe limits set by the National Academy of Sciences for the consumption of cholesterol, fat, saturated fat and protein while being low in fibre and other dietary constituents. People who follow this diet increase their risk of potential cardiac, bone and liver abnormalities. There are no published studies on the long term effects of the Atkins’ diet. However there have been long term studies of similar diets or diets which are also high in animal protein and short term studies on the effects of low carbohydrate diets raised a number of issues. In some studies 30% of people on low carbohydrate diets had an increase in cholesterol levels despite losing weight. Long term daily consumption of meat is associated with a 3 times increase in colon cancer. From studies of the general population it has been shown that diets which are high in animal fats, over time, leads to a reduction in the function of the kidneys also diets which are high in animal protein are known to significantly increase urinary calcium loss even over a short period of time and as a result increase the risk of fractures. In the maintenance phase of the diet urinary calcium losses were 55% higher than normal. Good Luck.

you'll kill yourself in the long run.it is eating nothing but eggs and meats and cheeses.you will lose weight, but it will motly be water weight and the weigh you do lose you will gain it right back.It makes your body go through "ketosis",a starvation like mode.It actually raises your insulin, when it says it should be lowered.Trust me,carbs do not make you fat.My diet is like 60% carbs and I never gain any weight.in the long run it will do more good than bad.the diet just like any other is a gimmick, weight loss is not easy, nor is it quick. It requires hard work and dedication, but the results will be satisfying.Go to this site for more info
