I have called several places, but nobody accepts payment plans. Some places have a payment thing, but they do a credit check and I have bad credit. What can I do?

There are several dental discount plans availble which would greatly help to defray the cost of dental visits.
Also there is a medicade program in everystate that does offer dental coverage. There are very few dentists that take this plan and the ones that do are booked out very far but this is certainly an option as well.
Dental schools are an excellent option as well, often they do the work for free or at a greatly reduced cost to the pt.
Call your local "chain" dental clinic and ask to speak with a manager. Because they are part of a larger group they might be able to help you defray some of the cost.
Last but not least, take care of your teeth. Floss everyday, even if it hurts. Rinse with a fluoride rinse every night. Brush at least 2xs a day. Don't drink soda all day long, the more you sip the more you put bacteria in your mouth. Drink water it is good for you breath, your mouth your whole body.

I hear emergency rooms have dentists. If it is bad enough, they would have to find a way to help fix you and give you pain killers (I would assume... I know doctors are required to help the patient in front of them, so I am assuming this works with dental problems).

Because you are dealing with doctors and not dentists, you are allowed to pay as you can. Unfortunately, this would probably only work for emergency (painful) situations and not the preventative work that would best help you.

Also, there is a card called Care Credit that you can get through some banks. This is a credit card used only for dental purposes. If you could manage to get this despite your less than good credit, you would at least be able to get some work done. I know Bank 1 has these cards.

If situation is truly that bad, you can apply for certain aspects of welfare. It isn't the best for self-esteem, but you can get the medical and dental help you need, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Good luck, I know how terrible it is to have dental issues.

Sorry to hear about the toothache. Are you based in the UK? If you are a fulltime student or on benefit, you can get this dental form from the university's GP or council for free NHS dentist. Otherwise, you do have to pay yourself. NHS dentist are much cheaper than private dentist of course. Good luck!

I suggest looking into a dental school. There might be a fee, I'm not sure, but the prices would be greatly reduced than a regular dentist.

If you really dont have the money you will either have to run off without paying, or not have the work done.
If you live in the UK you have have NHS work done which is very cheap (I just had an xray and filling done for £40)

Their might be a dental school that needs volunteers, if you're brave enough. Search online.

Live in a country not so "great" as America - where they care for their citizens a bit more.
