good question. Yes, the soldiers will have 'pop' guns to simulate real battles and will receive counselling afterwards, oh and plenty of compensation in case their feelings got hurt!
that's if their employers' insurances refuse to cover them in case they get hurt
... great question, plenty of mileage on the answers for this one, I think

I think that this is unlikely as the military (at least in the UK) is subject to different laws, e.g. officials under suspicion of a crime face a court martial rather than a court case. So I doubt that health and safety laws would apply. Plus most wars are abroad so would not necessarily be subject to our laws anyway.

If you have experience with health and safety then you should know H&S is about managing the risk not eliminating it. This means ensuring the troops have the best personal protective equipment available and that they are properly trained to do their jobs.

And a whole lot more. Quangos are useful for doing the Governments dirty work, because the Government doesn't get blamed. They merely claim to be acting under advisement.

Not a question of getting just''HURT'' here how about ''DEAD'' our troops are not trained to just hurt you. As Gen. Patton said so many years ago'' We are not only going to just shoot the bas#ards we are going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of out tanks'' sorry to be graphic here but that's what the military does, i get so tired of how liberal this country is getting our enemies are enjoying this and are waiting to see just how far down we will go then ATTACK.

They will adopt the same H&S procedure as in kitchens.
Red guns for killing the uncooked enemy.
Blue guns for killing their cooked colleagues.
BTW: The USA only get the Blue guns !

I don't think so. It would be a highly impractical way of fighting the enemy and will be an easy way for the enemy to annihilate the army without guns.
It's too great a tactical disadvantage to fight the enemy.
