she always turns away and puches me away from her when i try to kiss her, and it kills me inside because i am so inlove with her even though i know for a fact she is not. i want to move the relationship to the next level. am i making a huge mistake? or do i have hope of fixing things??

Doesn't sound much like how a girlfriend reacts to affection from her boyfriend. Life is tough enough without your girlfriend making you feel bad.
Unless she is extremely shy I think your fooling yourself here.

This may be hard to hear (or read), so I understand any thumbs down I may get but:
One solution is to grow a backbone. Seriously.
Girls like a guy with confidence, assertiveness. The way you wrote your question, you sound like you may be the type to let girls walk all over you because you feel it's you job to always be nice to them, even if they're completely wrong. Maybe this isn't true, but clearly something needs to change.
If she's not giving you the love you give her, it's not working. talking to her about it deeply is the only way to come to a logical conclusion with your relationship.

First of all noone can MAKE you feel anything. How you feel about yourself comes from inside you. Maybe it is you who feels you are not good enough for her. And I would not call her a girlfriend if she hits you when you kiss her. What is the next level anyway?

if she isn't serious as you are... she's not who you really want to be with.
she might be a bit immature or she's just joking around.
talk to her. 1 on 1. face to face. lay all your cards on the table.
tell her or ask her is she ready...or ask her if there is something wrong.
be a man and accept what she has to say.
if she's not into you anymore.
break it off and look for a real woman.
life's too short for insecurities.

It definitely sounds like its time to move on. If she is pushing you away, this is a sign that she is not into you. She just doesn't have the guts to tell you straight to your face.
