From the symptoms you are describing - you really need to seek medical help and it does not have to be that of a dentist. You may well need a dentist but a General Practitioner will perscribe you with some antibiotics (sounds like an abcess) or the least some strong pain killers - the longer you leave this - the worse it is going to get - try get some dispersable paracetamol and use it like a mouth wash ensuring that you do this for about 2 minutes and only use a small amount of water with it, this will get in between the teeth and all around the infected area and spit out. Please dont be a martyr - get to the Doctors at least and they will assist you greatly. Best of luck

OK reality check time!! You have a problem with your tooth which is so bad that painkillers will not soothe it. Its probably an infection of some kind. There is no more pain relief that you can take, you have tried everything that you can buy over the counter. You cannot avoid the dentist any longer so, first thing tomorrow morning, you call him up and make an emergency appointment. Ask if they will fit you in if someone has a cancellation.

Sounds like you have a abcess cooking in there. Tylenol and Motrin for over the counter meds. Clove oil or a oral numbing agent for the tooth itself. What you NEED are some anti-biotics to treat that abcess. If I were you I'd go to a dentist today. Hope you feel better.

Clove oil is good, apply to affected area...take a couple of paracetamols too and apply either hot or cold compressions...only you will know whats right for your kinda toothache.I had wisdom tooth pain(jaw neck)and found hot water bottles applied to my face and neck area eased it.But my partner had toothache and found cold compresses better.
Hope you feel better soon and try the clove oil....tastes horrid but works well.

Hey you, been there. You need paracetamol every four hours, ibuprofen every four hours (so that you are taking something every two hours) and the miracle cure is Piriton Syrup. It is an anti-inflammatory for hay fever, allergies etc but does really work. Trust me on this, its brilliant. Do not overdose, do not go over your allowed daily limits and pace yourself too. The Piriton will work within 20 minutes and the relief is wonderful. Best of luck and I hope you are soon pain free.

With hold whisky in your mouth it numbs everything, when it starts hurting again spit the whisky out and replace another mouth full. This is what i had to do once and found it helped the pain. I feel for you tooth ache is unbearable pain. Another thing that's good is something? cloves can't remember? but someone will be along soon with the cloves answer...Dentist ASAP.

well you could go to your local walk in clinic dentist! Otherwise take some strong tablets and bite on a clove! (it works!)

Sounds like you have a huge infection if its all hot around your ear and neck!

there is a product that is like a temporary filling you can buy over the counter, not sure of the name but it does work if the problem is a cavity. Best of luck to you
