I do not mock Jesus, I honor Jesus because Jesus was a great man and gave his life for his people - the ultimate sacrifice. However, I will also state what I KNOW to be historically accurate truth: Christianity is based on a distortion of history. Jesus was a Hebrew, and did NOT worship himself, and was NOT worshipped as God until the time of the Emperor Constantine. The first Christians were a sect of the JEWS. If Jesus were around today, he would be Jewish, not Christian, and if you truly wanted to honor Jesus's wishes you would be a good and law-abiding Jew!
I'm not an atheist either. I believe that "God" is the natural universe, and not a supernatural force.
You don't seem to understand that the response by many of the posters on here is a reaction to being told that they will burn in hell for all eternity if they do not follow what YOU tell them to do... not the bible... YOU. There are a million different ways to read what the bible means - Christians do NOT have a monopoly on what God is, although they might think so. Consider this: do you believe that God created all things? If you do, then God created the Christian religion, but God also created Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, the Native American religions, ATHEISM, agnosticism, paganism, etc.
Also, hell is myth based on a real place called "Gehenna": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gehenna - so no one is going to "burn there forever".
Satan is also a myth, and is not real: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satan
"Virgin" at the time of Jesus meant "young girl", so Mary was a "young girl". The Christians "converted" this meaning later to "compete" with another religion that also had a "virgin" in the modern sense of the word.
You do not understand that it is not the creator or Jesus that is being mocked - it is the "holier than thou" ignorance that you present to them. There is no Satan, there are no demons (other than evil people like Saddam Hussein and Charles Manson), there is no "Hell" (unless you are referring to a small town in Michigan), and you are in dire need of an education in the formation of your early church.
If you truly want to follow Jesus's wishes, see a Rabbi and become a law-abiding Jew, like Jesus was and wanted you to be.
btw: the word is "wasting", not "waisting" youR time.
Also, I am actually quite a happy person, but if you post on here you must accept answers from anybody that isn't violating terms of service, including those with opposing viewpoints. And always remember this: it isn't you who decides who gets into heaven and who doesn't. That decision is up to somebody much bigger than you or all of Christendom.
And to "Elizabeth T" above: the universe is estimated to be about 12-15 billion (with a B) years old. In cosmological terms, a million years is the blink of an eye. Evolution is an approved concept by the American Academy for the Advancement of Science and many Nobel Prize science winners. I'll bet you don't even know what the word really means. Carbon dating is accurate within the limitations of its measurement, and evolution has so much evidence it fills libraries, so you got three things wrong - should we trust anything else you say if you can't even get three things correct? You seriously need to open a science textbook to learn the truth and not what YOUR version of the truth seems to be. God WANTS you to be educated!

Disagreeing with you does not mean we're mocking you. We too are entitled to our opinions. And while you tell me that I'm an agent of Satan and that I'm hellbound, I'll tell you that there's no such thing as Hell, or Satan, or god, and I'm not really worried about your empty little threats. They mean as much to me as me telling you that if you don't believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn , she'll trample you to death while you sleep. It's ridiculous.
Saying that god doesn't exist is not mocking him. We don't even believe in him, so how could we mock a fictitious character?
Why don't you try showing people a little respect instead of ranting and threatening them? As they say, you reap what you sow. You'd get much better answers if you improved the tone of your "questions".

And do atheists and skeptics not get dogged by Christians? As a skeptic, I naturally criticise the irrationality of Christianity. Now let me post you a question - how is Satan any different from God? Christians always talk about how God is love, but the only entity in the Bible who seems to be truly loving is Christ, who died on the cross under duress, because God FORCED him to be tortured, for the rest of humanity which he despised. Jesus didn't want to die. I don't bag Jesus. I bag God. Hitler misplaced his feelings of rage towards the Jews, when he should have directed his rage towards God and started a "kill God" campaign. It may not have achieved much, but it would have prevented much suffering don't you think?? Instead, he believed in and worshipped a racist, bigotted, selfish and spiteful God. Hitler was indeed a very Godly man. And the Jews became his lambs of sacrfice. How's that for SICK.

Having an opinion is mocking? No, it's merely voicing opinions. I don't mock anyone. There are some people on here who seem to enjoy posting stupid answers to questions just because they're juvenile. However, for those of us who do have legitimate opinions, we are allowed to voice our opinions. Satan is not controlling their lives. Atheists are not Satanists. Frankly, saying that Satan is controlling atheists lives is mocking atheism. Atheism is a very well thought out choice for people who do not find that Christianity or any other religion is right for them.
Also, people who come to this site aren't here for just religious reasons. There are other sections of this website that have nothing to do with religion. It's mostly questions like this that provoke people to answer.

Why do some of you people have to make up ****. Quote "he sits up there and laughs at all the proud" ...like where do you come up with this stuff?? Is it in the bible? Does it say somewhere that god is sitting and laughing?
Quote "at least Christians are not hell bound"...this is one reason why i cant stand the christian faith...they have no respect for any other religions...do you seriously believe that only you are special and all others who believe in anything else is hell bound??
It seems to me that you ARE the proud. so if there really is a god, maybe your the one hes laughin at.

There's no buzz mocking Jesus, mocking a storybook character would be almost as stupid as talking to one and expecting divine intervention !
What is entertaining is listening to the ridiculous justifications delusional Christians dream up to justify the atrocities caused or ordered by god. They are often sidesplitting
oh, by the way, Satan isn't controlling me, he doesn't exist either !!!

you've never read the bible. if you had you would see the contradictions. you have no idea that books of the old testement were written after the events they "prophesied" to happen. you know nothing of your god except that which was handed down to you by a pastor or preacher, who is in himself a mere human with faults of his own. if you wish not to be mocked, stop parading around like your religion will save and condemn the planet when you don't even know what your religion really is. start with the OT and go very slowly through it. notice how god YHWH kills thousands of people, millions even, over the course of the beginning of history. babies, women, innocent along with soldiers. god condones incest. read the book from which your faith should come, then tell us about your god.

Did you know that dogging" is the term used for watching people having sex in a public place?
I do not believe in god.I do not believe in satan.I do not believe in heaven and hell.
I come here to try and find out how some people can believe in all those things. To me it is illogical to believe what was written in a book thousands of years ago because the book tells you it's true.
You don't even know who wrote it.
Man made god, not the other way around.

Does it make you feel good to judge us? The true question should be do Christians get a kick out of judging and condemning those who do not bleieve ?
Jesus did not judge or condemn. Jesus left the unbeleivers and pagans to their own beleifs.
Are your sure Christians are not hell bound? Jesus said many will beleive they are Christians but he will say depart from me you evil doers. That is a paraphrase of course, but you can look it up.
Jesus said in vain they do worship me teaching for doctrine the commandments of men.
Jesus also said the gate is broad and wide that leads to destruction and many will go through, but the gate is narrow and straight that leads to life and "FEW" will enter.
According to modern Christians Christianis are the majority and the majority will go to heaven, but that is not what Jesus said.
Jesus said that one must be baptized to be saved, but modern Christins sy no all you got to do is ask Jesus into your heart by saying the sinners prayer(which is not in the bible by the way) and start a personal relation ship with him and your are saved.
Most Christians serve doctrines of man, so how can you or anyone sit in judgement of us.?
Do you not realize that if you profess to be a Christian then Jesus will be judges by the unbeleivers by your actions? This attitude you display in your question is the main reason people are not attracted to christianity. Who wants to become a bitter, judgemental person with no joy at all?
You err in that you do not understand the religion and spirituality section is open for all religions and spiritual paths. Not just christian.
Most people are tired of so called Christians judging them all the time and why the respond here.
Jesus said to first take the plank out of your own eye before trying to take the speck out of ours.
Christians like to use scripture as justification of judging us, but they forget that the bible is written for those who beleive it. As a pagan I do no tbeleive the bible so I of course am not going to abide by it, but you claim you do, so therefore judge not lest ye be judged goes for the believer, not the unbeleiver.

Religious people fall into two distinct groups, the first group consists of very clever, charismatic men, who are skilled at the art of deception and manipulation. Their only concern is to promote their business and political agenda, which is typical of ALL religions, they seek only power and wealth. They don't believe a word of the superstitious clap-trap they use to recruit the week minded, gullible members of society. The second group consists of those who are too dumb to realize they are being manipulated by the first group.
