They have had their beliefs challenged from day one and are doing just fine thank-you! I looked your history over and it appears this is a fake account. You will be reported.

It depends on how you define "crazy". I don't think I've seen that happen yet. I can tell you that it is sort of like the feeling that one might have when they have someone in their family insulted or talked about. Usually, Christians are put on the defensive because they aren't being challenged with legitimate fact or argument by the other person. Typically, they are being criticized and put down by a person who does not share the same belief and does not give the Christian a chance to make their point. So the Christian tries harder and harder but it's like trying to break through a brick wall. The other person just doesn't listen and then leaves thinking that the Christian went crazy.

Not all Christians go crazy when their beliefs are challenged.
I think you need to take each case on its own merit.
Until you have interviewed all Christians to know that each goes crazy when their beliefs are challenged, it is stereotyping to say that they do.
:) I welcome a true challenge, because it makes me think and speak to the challenge, if necessary.
As long as a person is not taunting me, I will respond to their questions. There is no need to 'go crazy,' or get upset.
Peace be with you.

fundamentalists might, but by and large i think they'd like a reasonable debate. I like it if someone asks for my opinion on something cos they don't understand the church's teaching and why certain things are allowed/not allowed. By the nature of the question you posted though it seems you're spoiling for a fight and if you're aggressive to ppl (e.g. say something like "you're mentally deranged if you believe in god") then of course they'd get defensive cos you're being offensive and a tool. Plus, the use of religion in political life has overshadowed the fact that faith is a deeply personal and important facet of many ppl's lives - just cos you disagree doesn't give you the right to s### all over their beliefs. A lot of the stuff on yahoo questions reminds me of speaking to ppl after they'd read their first philosophy book at 15yrs old and decided that they can "prove" god does not exist and so all the billions of ppl of faith (not just christians) are all demented. Please just remember how annoying teenage arrogance can be before you accuse christians of being crazy cos someone challenges them.

Because of people like you?
I like to prove my beiliefes.
Evolution: All findings are fake. None are true. Our galaxy is expanding, if you were to un-expand it 1,000,000 years in the past it wouldn't even exist. A very un-reliable aging methos (radiometric dating) is un-reliable, and is only useful when dating things 3,000 years in the past.
Why the bible is not fake: Predictions. Why can't this just be some guy who was really good at history and geography? Simple: Predictions of the future. There are something like 352 in the bible, something like that, many have come true to the very last detail. And these predictions happened like 300 years before they actually came true! (Using a ver reliable aging method). That's why I belive, care to question me.
I wasn't being all wild and crazy on what I sadi, was I?
The Yeti: I didn't not say I know everything, so why did you say that I did?

I do not think it is so much a question of going crazy when challenged, if you are challenging in an inquisitive, decent manner. It is more likely to happen when a question is asked that is a direct insult or slam designed to irritate or belittle their faith.

Because you challenge their beliefs. What did you think?
Leave it alone, luckily for you, most everywhere you can have religious freedom.

It's a common reaction of people suffering from a mental disorder called schizophrenia. When you challenge their delusions, they react violently because you are in fact destroying their delusional inner world.

I've experienced this. Even the most mild and meek of Christians will go crazy when you present a clear and logical argument. It's an ego-defence mechanism. They can't stand the cognitive dissonance.

Religion makes a person know everything. "What/who did this?" "god did it"
Challenging their beliefs shows that they know nothing.
