ok long story. but ive liked this girl for ages and i am too shy to do anything. and i like a different girl to a degree. to avoide confusion i will call the girl i have liked for ages ruth and the other girl lauren.
lauren likes me but i told her that i liked ruth before we sorta liked each other and now she is pushing herself away from me. i like ruth alot but im not entirely sure if she likes me. my other problem is that my best mate likes ruth and every1 knows it. but ruth aparently doesn't like him like that she is unsure. i have been told she has liked me on and off in the past. i like her so much and others think that i like lauren but really like ruth more. i have only recently decided who i like more and its ruth. i don't want to go telling my best freind coz it could ruin our freindship and i don't want to go rush into telling ruth coz she is really shy and might not be truthful in her answer to avoid trouble. Also were such good freinds and i don't want to lose that. HELP!

i forgot to mention that i have seen my best freind tood be burned by her when we were away at schoolies when he told her his feelings for her it is this y i am a little uneasy about it.

You must tell Ruth how you feel no matter what the consequences. Tell your friend about your intentions too........truth has a way of making things right. There may be some problems to begin with but if your feelings are strong enough for Ruth (and i think they are) then you will ride the biggest waves.

I know what your going through, but dont let your friend stop you form true love. You sound like you love Ruth a lot. I would go for it and ask Ruth out.

listen dude.. you have to talk this out yourself.. the sooner the better... take my advice... life is all about taking risks and having guts.... if she agress to your proposal, you will relish the fact that you showed courage by asking her face to face... even if she doesn't then also you have got nothing to lose... you will sometime lose her friendship... if she gets married to another guy... not because of her, but because of you... girls are not suppose to be that gutsy... exceptions are always there....
