sounds funny, but it happens all the time as if its synchronised yawning or something.

Yawning is something that is very catching. Just thinking about it while trying to answer you made me yawn. I'm also sleepy too. But yes, if its late in the night and someone yawns, it just reminds others that, hey you're right I am tired also and sleepy.

Yawning is an activity practiced by people who r bored and have nothing else to do. At that time, u tend to see others who r similarly yawning.

It appears that there is a psychological phenomenon that when you see someone yawn, you often yawn yourself. So the people around you are possibly yawning because they saw you yawn. I don't think we know why, though.

Yawning is contagious, it's true! Try it with a friend. Yawn, and they will feel the urge to yawn, too.

I don't know why, but I do notice this too. I have heard that yawns are contagious. It must be the power of suggestion and our bodies must want to do it. Besides, taking in extra oxygen can't be too bad.
