I just routed them behind a subwoofer on my entertainment center for now, but I was thinking about cutting a hole in the wall directly behind my wall mount and cutting another behind the entertainment center and runing cables through the holes, you do have to worry about electrical wires that could possibly run in the wall

You could put up some panelling on the wall and run the cables between the panelling and the wall if you don't want to make holes in the walls and run the cables through the house frame.

What equipment do you want to hook up to your LCD? (eg: VCR, DVD, cable tv, stereo system etc).

Well anything that covers the wires can cause a fire. The risk is low, but why take that chance? A electrician came out and made a "track" for our wires. We can put more wires in or out when we wish. It is up to code and regulations, and most importantly is fire resistant. It cost us a little over $1200 US, so make sure that is where you want your TV to go.

What I did was to chisel a channel into the plaster and inserted the cables into that channel. Then filled the channel using poly-filla or plaster.

Of course I did it at a time when I was re-decorating anyway.
