If hes pure bred where did you get him from because the breeder should have his registry listed along with his pedigree. And the pedigree is the most important because if his lineage is not listed in UKC or AKC neither of the biggest registries will list your dog.If this is the case then you can reg your dog at CKC,ADBA and the United Canine Assoc all are listed in yahoo and I'm a member of each reg so good luck and enjoy all the love that a Amstaff will give you and your family.

You should have gotten the dogs info when you bought the dog. Bonafide pure breed breeders cannnot withhold documentation. Further they MUST enclose AKC registration info if they are selling the dog and claiming it to be pure bred. The reason for this is a need for the AKC to provide papers. As well, breeders provide the papers as all purebreds have family bloodline history going back and minimum of 6 generations. This is so that congenital anomolies can be bred out of the bloodline and so that you are ensured that you have a healthy puppy.
If the person that sold you the dog doesn't have papers or cannot produce them, you have no way of getting them from the AKC. You can contact the Kennel club though and give them the name and info about the breeder so that the illegal practice can be stopped or at the very least they can alert people from buying from the breeder. Puppy mills prey on uneducated purchasers and sell inferior and mixed breeds as healthy pure breds.
Lastly, if you know the name of the ***** and sire your dog came from you might have an argument for tracing and purchasing the bloodline info. (that is what the papers are)
I hope this info helps.

There is no way to get registration papers from a legit registry for him. Don't waste your time with the scam registries such as Continental Kennel Club, American Canine Association, etc..they aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Staffy girl at your service. Your breeder should have supplied you with puppy registration appllication with the AKC (America) or another recognized foriegn registration. If not, good luck, call the breeder and see if mom and dad are papered. If they are you can register the dog for a higher fee. Email me if you need more help.

the only person that can give you papers/pedigree is the breeder as s/he is the only person that would know the parents. but if your dog has papers s/he should have given then to you already.
