He who began a good work in you shall bring it to completion. The more you grow in Christ the more confident you will become,.. at times. Other times you will feel like the worst Christian in the world. We go in and out of the pasture. Just keep on believing, and God will assure and comfort you when you need it. Don't worry, let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Just in the fact that you are worried is evidence that He is at work in you.

You have experienced a real rebirth when the old man is passed away and all things become new. If you aren't growing in the faith, don't blame your church or friends. It's between you and God although we draw strength from worshiping with other believers. If you are desiring the sincere milk of the Word, God will lead you. If you need to find a fellowship that worships in spirit and in truth, do so through prayer and fasting. Works every time. If you feel the need to do your first works over, then do them over. It's better to be sure than to be proud and end up shipwrecked. I say pray until you are truly satisfied with your experience. God will meet you there. The Bible also says not to measure ourselves with one another so your rate of spiritual growth is unique to you and between you and God. It's better to run the race slowly and pace yourself to endure to the end than to run hard and fast and drop out before the finish line. (And, please capitalize the name of our God like a good Christian!)

You've raised a good question, and you know what? That means that you are also a Christian Under Construction, which is my slogan.
I'm still searching for all of the answers, and so are you.
But to answer your question, how you know that your relationship with God is a good one is to continually seek God's face. Not only in reading the bible, but in looking at the Bible in a way that you ask God how to apply this to your life. In particular, things like the Sermon on the mount, and other principles which Jesus taught in the Bible. When we seek God's face he will reveal it to us.
REVISION:
Also, ask: "God what can I do for you today?" because you are then focusing on God and being there for God, instead of focusing on receiving a blessing. That concept was a real eye opener for me!

We can do lots of "religious" activities, but it won't determine if our relationship with God is healthy or not. We should never be comparing ourselves with other people around because there will always be someone far more better than us. Instead, I must suggest that you compare your present self to who you were before. If you see any progress, changes, or growth, then you are on the right track. But there is no retirement when it comes to growing in the faith. We must always seek God. Because eternity is even insufficient to discover the whole Being of God. He's unfathomable. Never think you've gone far enough. Just continue to seek the Lord. :)

Your relationship with God is only as good as you make it to be. Pray pray pray. Ask and you will receive. God in due time will overwhelm you with so much blessings. Grow in your faith. but above all learn how to Love, which is where I'm having difficulty with.

Sometimes it feels like a cloud is between our prayers and God. It is true that something is there but it could be a problem which you are letting it come between you and God. Seek to know Him more and retrace your past steps and see if something is hindering your relationship.

First of all, your relationship with God is your own. Don't compare your relationship with God with anyone elses. God knows how to pull you close.

i know your question said christians only please (so i hope not to offend), but maybe that is where your issue lies. perhaps christianity is not your path to god. there are so many different religions, different faiths out there that do believe in god. just in different ways. maybe you should start studying about others. you just might find yourself "in tune" down another path.
blessed be

You have to have one to know the answer to your question. No one can do it for you. No one.
