The French buy their bread every day. The reson for this is beacuse it is very easily available and the so the bread contains nothing to help preserve it, because it doesn't need it.

Do not panic! Heat oven to 180 deg. Run french stick under cold tap very briefly then bung it into oven for 5 mins. It will be as good as new providing you use it straight away. this works for all crusty bread which needs refreshing the second day.

I would use it for wiffle ball and buy a new baguette. Baguette's are not meant to be kept for a couple of days, they really should be eaten right away. Maybe you could make french toast with it!

well its pretty simple the reason why it gets so had is because it is a light bread and there for heating it up at a high or even low temp for garlic bread will burn the lil cell you do not see there for you dont see it a nother reason is that fench bread and is baked at a light temp when you buy it and like i said its light right so it stalls quick so the thing that works for me is that if you are going to eat it in the morning put it in you frig not freezerand in the mornig put it in the oven on the lowest temp for 10 min and its like eating fresh bread

Because it's real bread.
Bread does that, you know, it goes hard when it's not fresh.
What you've been eating up to now is kind of like bread, but full of chemicals to help it stay "fresh".

Welcome to the real world

Because they don't put chemicals in it (conservatory) like salt etc.
This is the natural evolution of bread.
