Ask your vet for something that tastes terible and won't already aggravate the tender tissue on his nose....there's gotta be something out there for it.

Treat with BAG BALM { this is a pure potroleum based medicated ointment ] even if he does lick there will be enough to do the job left on. Cover the infected area lightely twice daily . Can be purchased at most pet shops ,Drug and dept stores ' This product is used by kennel owners, Breeders ,and farmers for farm animals. Of course i am assuming that it was caused by an accident and not by some inward problem in which case he should receive professional care.

hi I truly tend to believe all the others while they are asserting the only is in simple terms doing what comes organic to him by utilising licking it he's making an attempt to help out and sparkling it i'm able to easily think of what might take place in case you separate them allot of howling so i might take a bandage and that's a concoction I consistently make for my Pets while they have a sore and you would be surprised as to how directly it is going to heal ok Take some Iodine or Betadyne pour it in a disposable Tupperware container adequate to conceal the backside of the bowl then pour in some sugar adequate to make a paste then Take a Gauze bandage and placed it on the sore then wrap it with the belongings you ought to purchase @ any puppy grant save to wrap wounds it it elastic variety gauze and go away it for 24 hours then enable it air for a pair of hour and repeat and you would be surprised @ how directly it truly is going to heal that's getting sanitized and healing all @ the comparable time I seen this on Animal Planet those From Houston who rescue animals and that they did it on a horse who had a great gaping wound and ever provided that I seen that I truly have used it and that i swear by utilising it now So solid success to you

neosporine ( excuse my crappy spelling)
or monkey blood are most likely ok to use on his nose.
just don't put more on after he has licked it off.
apply it in small amounts with a cotton ball and no more than twice a day.
First to get rid of the infection, clean it up with a clean towel and warm water. Then use a cotton ball to apply a large amount of peroxide, alcohol or monkey blood.Hold him down by grabbing his nose and try not to get any in his eyes or allow him to lick it.Once you have let your choice of meds do it's magic for about a minute.....wipe most of it off.. because as soon as you let go of his muzzle, he is going to start licking.
Also call your vet and see if there is something that can be applied that isn't toxic to your dog.

Having a trained dog isn’t the same as having a balanced dog, but if your dog knows a few basic commands, it can be helpful when tackling problem behaviors — existing ones or those that may develop in the future. Learn here https://tr.im/gsrNo

So where do you start with dog obedience training? You could take a class, but it’s not necessary; you can do it yourself. In fact, with the right attitude, it can be fun for both you and your dog!
Step 1 : Sit
This is one of the easiest dog obedience commands to teach, so it’s a good one to start with.
• Hold a treat close to your dog’s nose.
• Move your hand up, allowing his head to follow the treat and causing his bottom to lower.
• Once he’s in sitting position, say “Sit,” give him the treat, and share affection.
Repeat this sequence a few times every day until your dog has it mastered. Then ask your dog to sit before mealtime, when leaving for walks, and during other situations where you’d like him calm and seated.
Step 2 : Come
This command can help keep a dog out of trouble, bringing him back to you if you lose grip on the leash or accidentally leave the front door open.
• Put a leash and collar on your dog.
• Go down to his level and say, “Come,” while gently pulling on the leash.
• When he gets to you, reward him with affection and a treat.
Once he’s mastered it with the leash, remove it — and practice the command in a safe, enclosed area.
Step 3 : Down
This can be one of the more difficult commands in dog obedience training. Why? Because the position is a submissive posture. You can help by keeping training positive and relaxed, particularly with fearful or anxious dogs.
• Find a particularly good smelling treat, and hold it in your closed fist.
• Hold your hand up to your dog’s snout. When he sniffs it, move your hand to the floor, so he follows.
• Then slide your hand along the ground in front of him to encourage his body to follow his head.
• Once he’s in the down position, say “Down,” give him the treat, and share affection.
Repeat it every day. If your dog tries to sit up or lunges toward your hand, say “No” and take your hand away. Don’t push him into a down position, and encourage every step your dog takes toward the right position. After all, he’s working hard to figure it out!

you can get antibacterial creams for dogs that are specially made to taste awefull. Just remember that you need doggie cream! many human medications and ointments can actually harm our fourlegged friends. In the mean time sometimes using a thick layer of Zinc cream can help- they're not to fond of the taste and it kinda insulates the sore- put your antibacterial on first though.

You vet or Walmart has these little leather muzzle guard things you can get and strap them on your dog that will stop this. Take it off when he eats and put it back on when done.

take the dog to your local vets and let the vet check him out, if there is anything wrong they should / will recommend how to treat it and with what.
