From a scientific point of view, all animals on Earth are here to reproduce their own DNA. This would explain why guys go to such lengths to please their partners and the same with women.

Some people would like to believe that we all have specific purposes on the Earth, and I think that it is to reproduce.

Also, most people keep on with their lives because they are afraid of the alternative, death. Maybe if we had more knowledge of the after-life we wouldn't live so much.

Different people have different answers to this question, but if you are really honest with yourself, you have to answer: "I don't know." Any other answer is going to fall short in some way or another. But that's OK. It's better to learn to accept that you don't know than to deceive yourself into thinking that you do know. People have been deceiving themselves into thinking that they know the answer to this question for thousands of years. To pretend to have a answer is just deceit... possibly well intentioned... but ultimately it is just deceit...

IN MY OPINION, that's like saying, why is water made up of two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule. we're here because somehow, stuff on this ball of rock named earth just came together nicely and was placed at a good position from the nearest star and somehow all this mixed together to form organisms

Some people say god.
Some people say we just are.
I choose to believe both, that there is a God who put us on this earth, but we also did evolve from whatever shape he put us as.
Another theory of mine is a common one-- Adam and Eve were placed on here, and babies, babies, and more babies came from them.
I choose not to believe the scientific evolution theory of apes--- but that's just IMO.
I'm not trying to get all religious-y on you either, since I'm not entirely religous myself.

Who really cares? You get to have a life at least and see the world, don't you?

Here's another question to go along with yours:

Why are you asking such idiotic questions?
