Yes it works very well. Make sure the ice is very cold and not slushy though, as it will break up a lot better.

normally these processors come with a special blade for crushing ice , if your not to sure then do it the old fashioned way ,just as quick, in a clean tea towel get a hammer a bash away , good way of releasing any tension

Sure! but my family uses the Ultimate Chopper and we find it to be the best food processor that we've used.

take the flat side of a spoon and break the ice cubes in half and then put in the processor.
