and born again, yet some who seek for a lifetime never find peace with god? Does jesus answer all those who ask & how long must they believe, read the bible & pray before he answers?

Hey.. i didn't say it's MY god or even if I have one. I'm not here to say one way or another.. just a curious question. Why are people so eager to say they want to share their belief yet so defensive when asked about it? I don't get it.. no wonder I don't visit this section often.

Your question is a little bit complicated, but whatever the case the Bible says if we confess our sins we will be saved. But many are those who seek for a lifetime as you say but they have no faith in the one who hold their lives.
Look at John 9:31 it will answer part of your question.
To conclude we cannot seek for lifetime outside Christ and have it.

Why do you assume they are saved? That will not be known until the time of the end. Was Moses forgiven and able to enter the Promise Land? No, he wasn't. Just one sin prevented him from entering the Promise Land. The question is, was it what he did, or that he thought that God would not consider such a little thing important, or possibly that he thought with all the good he had done, that one little thing would not count?
Making an assumption that one knows what God will do as regards yourself, or any individual, is putting yourself on a footing equal to him. No one, not even Christ, is equal, as he stated in his not knowing the day or time of Armageddon.
A person can claim to be saved, but the claim, in and of itself, has to be questioned, because those who are saved do not put themselves on a pedestal. Those Born Again are not leaders, at least not on this Earth, but servants of their brethren. Their roles as leaders only come after their resurrection to heaven.

People are afraid of their own mortality. And in the end or when faced with extremes, they want to believe that someone or something has a plan for them and will give them the strength to carry it out. Other times people want an excuse for their behavior. The more appalling the behavior, the greater the need to be forgiven and rid of the guilt.

Saving of non-believers has been their destiny. There is nothing to object to it. If you read bible or if you don't read bible, it will not affect the existance of God, who is omni present and we are just like steward who obey the command of God in all sephere of life.

Suddenly saved? The Bible says that before God created the world He knew His children by name. That does not sound sudden.
Salvation is not ever because of the length of belief or amount of reading or praying. Salvation is only through faith by grace - and that not of our merit.

Read the Qu'ran its a challenge :D
Heres the second page,
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
[002.001] Alif-Lâm-Mîm.
[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân and none but God (Alone) knows their meanings.]
[002.002] This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn [the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism who fear God much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love God much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].
[002.003] Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salât (the prayers), and spend out of what We have provided for them [i.e. give Zakât (obligatory charity), spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, and also give charity to the poor].
[002.004] And who believe in that (the Qur'ân and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]) and in that which was sent down before you [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injîl (Gospel)] and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell).
[002.005] They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful.
ill let you find the rest, msg me if you need help

don't you know your own dogma. your god has a plan, even though you're supposed to have free-will, those who are to be saved are predestined to be saved, those not predestined to be saved have been chosen by your god to burn in hell for all eternity. Que Serra Serra.
