Depends on the guy and whether or not he understands nonverbal communication. For the longest time, girls would touch me on the arms, flip their hair while talking to me, etc. and I had NO CLUE what was going on (after some studying now I get it). If he's dense like I used to be, not much short of, "I like you, now kiss me" is going to get this guy to have a clue.
On the other hand, if he understands these things, making prolonged eye contact, lots of touching, and other things can be helpful in giving him the "hint". Just my own two cents here, but personally I hate "hints" - if a woman likes me, I like her to come out and say it or make it blatantly obvious - but that takes a lot of courage and I understand that can be scary.
So just stick with lots of touch, eye contact, and when you DO talk to him (as you'll have to talk to get anything going), make sure to convey in your vocalics - tone of voice, speed with which you talk, etc. - a bit of romantic interest.

Eye talk is the most common along with body language. Standing closer to him while you are talking to him. Smiling at him or giggling, but not excessively. Touching him as you are talking to him. Good Luck!!

why cant you talk to him?
make eye contact with him, when he walks by or something just look in his eyes. when you get more confortable with talking be flirty.

try to find out what he likes from his frieds or somethin. then just try to do that things. but the best thing is to be yourself. if he really likes you the things will workout in that manner.
